01 October 2011: Fordingbridge 9 CK ANDOVER 0
With only a bare 11 it was always going to be tough against a strong Fordingbridge team but again CK gave away soft goals. Two down with inside 10 minutes through lack of closing players down and tackeling and trailing by 6-0 at half time. A better second half by CK and the one positive is that the team never gave up. Player of the match went to James Broadbent for an excellent work rate and attitude in the CK midfield. Hopefully training will start this Friday and we can start working on the basics of the game again and talk about competing more on the pitch. I hope the boys are as dissapointed as I am on todays performance but also as keen to work hard and improve.

24 September 2011: CK ANDOVER 4 Alderbury 2
A much improved performance from CK although still more to work on. CK learnt from last week and challenged for the ball more, kept their positions much better and when they played their passing football put Alderbury under real pressure. CK found themselves camped in the Alderbury half for much of the first half and with some better finishing should have took the lead much earlier than they did. However when they did it was a wonder strike from Matt Lovering, crashing the ball in on the half volley. A great passing move lead to Charlie Hampton adding a second and CK led 2-0 at half time. Alderbury relied on the high ball over the top in the second half and for most of the match CK handled them comfortably. Two great strikes from Charlie Hampton completed his excellent hattrick but Alderbury replied twice when CK again didn't clear the ball with headers. Player of the match goes to Matt Lovering for his superb opening goal and effort in the CK midfield. A good win and first points of the season for CK.

17 September 2011: South Newton & Wishford 4 CK ANDOVER 3
A frustrating performance from CK which had started so well. CK had moved into a two goal lead with goals from Tom Haynes and James Broadbent and looked to be in total control. However towards half time the team seemed to forget that you still have to do the basics of football to be able to win matches. Not tackling, not heading the ball, and not marking players enabled Newton to draw level at the break. Newton were now full of confidence and although Charlie Hampton restored the lead for CK it was Newton that took control of the game. The CK performance in the second half was poor with players not keeping their positions and this helped to see Newton equalise and then get the winner minutes from the end.

11 September 2011: CK ANDOVER v Fareham Town Youth U15
The result was probably never in question in this mis match Hampshire Cup game but CK can take a number of positives into their league campaign. For spells in the match they did compete with their bigger stronger opponents and had a superb attitude throughout the match. They never once gave in and this was commented on by the manager and parents of Fareham. Special mention goes to Edward Farrow for a number of excellent saves and to Player of the Match Niall Kane who had an outstanding match in midfield. The result was never the issue in this encounter it was how the team would respond when put in this situation and they came back with a performance they should all be very proud of. Also many thanks for the good wishes to Jordan, he came out of Hospital today and, although still on medication, we hope he is now heading in the right direction.
