17 November 2012: Saturday 17th November away v South Newton TWYFL Div 2
South Newton 4 CK ANDOVER 1

An excellent performance that left me feeling frustrated. Eighty minutes of hard work and effort with the game decided on 4 major incidents. CK started well with a new defensive partnership of Jord Mumford and Matt Blake working well straight away. The midfield hassling well and Charlie Hampton up front on his own leading the line well. Top of the league South Newton then took the lead and would have expected to then take control but CK fought hard to keep the score 1-0 at half time. The second half started well again for CK but then the deciding moments occurred. CK having two golden opportunities to score but neither taken and then two errors at the other end of the pitch to concede. Charlie Hampton then curled a wonderful free kick to pull a goal back for CK and those two missed chance became even more important as CK again looked the much better team. Pushing forward CK then let Newton in to grab a fourth at the end. A score line that does not in anyway reflect the match. The referee coming up to us at the end to state exactly that and that we were the better team for long spells and this against a team who have won all their games so far this season. So frustration that we came so close to achieving what would have been an amazing result. CK player of the match was Kamil Lewandowski who controlled the midfield well.

10 November 2012: Saturday 10th November Home v Fordingbridge Town TWYFL Div 2
CK ANDOVER 0 Fordingbridge 5

The first half seemed to be a repeat of the first match between these two teams with CK looking comfortable and mounting some good attacks of their own. Then as before some lapses in concentration saw them concede two goals before half time. At the beginning of the second half CK had a great chance to pull one back and that may have changed the match but Fordingbrige then again scored two quick goals to take control of the match. CK then conceded a penalty. I didn't see the incident so can't really comment. CK beaten by a better team but I think we could have done better ourselves. Again taking control of a situation let us down, some silly mistakes, and we need to show more aggression on the pitch. Positives though we're a welcome back in goal to Edward and great morale with no heads dropping. Player of the Match goes to Charlie Hampton for some great closing down and superb effort throughout the match.

20 October 2012: Saturday 20th October 2012 Home v Redlynch TWYFL Div 2
CK ANDOVER 6 Redlynch 0

With both 1st choice and 2nd choice keepers unavailable CK spoke about how important it was to start strong and limit Redlynch to the amount of shots and corners that stand in Keeper Dan Graham would have to deal with. The stats of Redlynch having 2 shots and 2 corners in 80 minutes of football is testament to how hard the CK squad worked today. They closed down excellently, tackling and hassling the Redlynch players as soon as they received the ball. CK took the lead when Jord Mumford swung in a great free kick into the top corner. They soon doubled the lead when George Daykin reacted quickest to smash the ball home. At half time we spoke about how important the next goal would be, and CK grabbed it with Jord Mumford heading home at the far post. Brandon Tulk then took advantage of some great attacking play with a brilliant hatrick. His second particularly was a joy to watch. Great passing and a finish to match. A really good performance today and a great response from the squad after my moans of last week. Player of the match goes to the whole squad. Well done. Special thanks to Dan for standing in as goalkeeper today too.

13 October 2012: Saturday 13th October 2012 Home v Fordingbridge TWYFL Div 2
CK ANDOVER 2 Fordingbridge 8

CK will never win games when they give such sloppy goals away to teams. CK looked the better team for the opening twenty minutes against a strong Fordingbridge team. Carving out 2 good chances and looking solid all over the pitch. All that hard work was put to waste though within 15 minutes as sloppy passing and marking enabled Fordingbridge to go 2up. Again CK gifted another two goals before half time with long balls over the top not dealt with. The second half was almost a copy of the first with CK in control and scoring with a great shot from James Broadbent. CK should then have taken the game by the scruff of the neck as Fordingbridge looked hassled but again individual errors and poor football enabled them to score more goals and lead 8-1. Brandon Tulk pulled one back for CK with a good far post finish but CK never really gave themselves a chance today. Today's performance has left me extremely frustrated. We could have prevented I think at least 6 of the goals conceded. I hope all the squad feel as disappointed as I do and will try and improve all aspects of our game.

06 October 2012: Saturday 6th October 2012 Home v Alderbury TWYFL Div 2
CK ANDOVER 4 Alderbury 3

What an amazing game for CK. A solid hardworking display in the first half saw CK take a commanding lead with goals from Jordy Mumford and Matt Blake. An excellent first half where some hard CK tackles really saw a much bigger Alderbury struggle to come to term with the physical side of the game. Some poor defending within five minutes of the second half saw Aderbury pull one back only for CK to retain the two goal lead with a great finish from Brandon Tulk. CK then allowed Alderbury to press higher up the pitch and long balls into the CK box were not dealt with good enough. Twice a bouncing ball was left in the CK penalty box and twice Alderbury punished CK to draw level. Then with seconds remaing Jordy Mumford picked up the ball, drove at the penalty box and unleashed a fantastic left foot strike high into the corner of the net. A performance full of desire, passion, and team spirit from CK, typified by player of the match Kamil Lewandowski who controlled the midfield all match.
