20 October 2012: Friendly.....Bishops Waltham Dynamos 6-3 CK
Harvey Mclean returned in goal a after a short break, producing several good saves and good kicking throughout. Tiredness showed at the back for the second game but Owen McGregor showed that he continues to improve linking well with Ben Hewlett and Alfie Waters. Although 1-0 down within 5 minutes, the boys worked hard to create a bit of luck, Alfie Waters driving the ball in hard, deflecting in off a Dynamos defender.......they all count!. Kial Mumford blasting in off the underside of the crossbar shortly after gave CK the lead. Harvey Mclean made a great save to deny the Dynamos forward but they equalised shortly and then added a third to lead at half time. A tired side could do little to hold back a confident and determined Dynamos who added a further 3 in the second half. No result today but some real positives to take from the game. The highlight of the second half was Lee Nicholsons free kick, blasting it hard and low into the bottom left hand corner.......great strike!!. Heads up......on to the next one!

13 October 2012: Barton Stacey 0-1 CK
The boys had to work hard for this result, and were it not for an outstanding performance from the Barton Stacey goalkeeper, CK would have been comfortable winners. Goalkeeper Lee Nicholson was faultless today, safe and confident throughout and ready for action on the few occasions he was needed. Harvey Wake and Justinhio were superb throughout. Midfielder and skipper Kial Mumford put CK ahead after 10 minutes, the ball finishing in the top left hand corner. Kai Henderson was awesome in midfield, strong tackles, great work rate and some mature passing. The second half was much the same as the first, CK continued to create chances only to be denied by the Barton Stacey keeper. Late in the game, the opposition pressed hard for an equaliser but fantastic team play from forwards Jamie Ross and Man of the Match Joe Brown, allowed CK to maintain possession and break down the Barton Stacey moves. A first clean sheet for Lee Nicholson, 3 points.................next up Bishops Waltham Dynamos away.

13 October 2012: Friendly.....Barton Stacey 0-0 CK
Another great result today as CK battled to a 0-0 draw against solid opposition. Harvey Wake sort of volunteered to go in goal and had a good game, denying Barton Stacey in both halves with brave saves. Ben Cousins saw plenty of action and continues to look more comfortable on the ball each week. Joe Brown showed he's no one trick pony by playing right back with some fine tackles and interceptions. New boy Owen McGregor had a super game today, some thoughtful passing and massive effort earning him Man of the Match, well done Owen. Alfie Waters was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet today and Captain Harry Baker played well, both working hard to close down and tackle. Well done guys!!

06 October 2012: CK 1-2 Broughton
A real tense, close affair from 2 attacking teams. So close I forgot to scribble down notes for the match report!. Both teams setting out to win the match, CK had the better of the attacking play in the first half, Kial Mumford and Kai Henderson again working hard, with great skills, to open up chances for Jamie Ross and Joe Brown up front. Broughton were a little fortunate to take the lead, a looping shot catching a deflection off a CK defender before creeping past GK Lee Nicholson. Balance was restored before half time as CK were equally fortunate to equalise, Kial Mumfords shot deflecting in, the referee making the correct decision that the ball had crossed the line. A tense second half, both teams creating chances but with excellent defending, both sides knew the next goal would be the winner. The final few minutes should have seen the home team pressing for that goal, instead Broughton snatched a late winner from a corner, a terrific header from their player but very poor defending from CK. Excellent football and on another day we could well have taken the three points. Man of the Match,.......Justinhio...another superb defensive display, reading the game superbly!!

06 October 2012: Friendly.....CK 1-11 Broughton
CK could not get going at all in this second game. Our passing game disappeared and Broughton were quicker to the ball almost every time. Early Broughton goals saw heads drop and it quickly became a rout. Lee Nicholson produced CKs only moment to savour, a well struck shot whizzing past the Broughton keeper, a great strike. Ben Hewlett produced a superb second half display, enough to earn him Man of the Match. One of those games we need to forget!! Heads up guys, lets get our confidence back at training on Monday and press on to the next fixture.

29 September 2012: South Wonston Swifts 1-3 CK
Could have been 1-8........could have been a draw! CK faced a Swifts team definately 'up for it' and eager to put some points on the board after two difficult fixtures this month. CK started brightly, Joe Brown picking up the ball on the right hand side of the box from Jamie Ross, turning and finishing neatly in the bottom right hand corner after only 2 minutes. Joe added his second minutes later striking the ball first time with his left foot to drive home. It should have been plain sailing from here but Swifts battled hard, with some good possession and at times, passing the ball well. Ben Hewlett worked hard in midfield, Kai Henderson showing off his excellent skills and footwork and CK continued to create opportunities without finding the net. With swifts only trailing 2 nil at the break they started the second half very confidently and CK struggled to remain composed. Sub Alfie Waters worked his socks off and finally linked well with Joe Brown who finished well to notch up his hatrick! Harvey Mclean had a superb game, stopping several strong shots and doing the simple stuff really well. Some poor defending allowed Swifts to score and they continued to press until the final whistle. Three points but not our most polished football, Joe Brown picking up Man of the Match for a superb hatrick. Broughton at home next week, we'll need to lift our game.
