27 September 2014: CK ANDOVER VS ALDERBURY
CK ANDOVER 1 ALDERBURY 18
Still looking for new players, CK U13s arrived for a home match to Alderbury with one sub and ready for another battle.
An early blow to our campaign, lost Hannah James due to an existing knee injury, leaving the team once again to struggle with the bare 11.
CK found themselves suffering wave after wave of attacks from a well organised Alderbury, leaving us 11-0 down at half time.
A stern half time team talk resulted in a much better display from CK in the 2nd half, with the high point in the half, Charlie Howe scoring a well taken shot from outside the box and bending the ball around the keeper.
A further injury blow for CK caused the keeper, Ben Malden Gibbins to be taken off with a back injury and Oliver Smith stepping up to take on the keepers role.
Although the scoreline finished 18-1 to Alderbury, strangely enough, our 1 goal was worth 20 and the commitment to carry on by every player, shows the team we are and will be.

20 September 2014: WHITCHURCH VS CK ANDOVER
WHITCHURCH 12 CK ANDOVER 0
This was always going to be a tough game, especially with a well known ex CK player up front.
CK playing with a bare 11 players on the day, after news of 1 player pulling out minutes before kick off and another out sick, things were just getting tougher for this new team.
Without the outstanding performances from goalkeeper Ben Malden Gibbins, Hannah James and Oliver Smith in defence the result could have been a lot worse.
Although we never looked like we were going to score, we were able to take some positive comments from the Whitchurch manager, who praised Hannah James and Ben Malden Gibbins for their own personal performances.
The final score 12-0.

13 September 2014: CK ANDOVER VS WEST HARNHAM
CK ANDOVER 1 WEST HARNHAM 10
First game of the season at home to west Harnham and with a depleted squad from last season, CK U13s had a battle on their hands, but with morale high with new additions to the team, everyone was looking forward to the first game of the season.
However it became apparent from early on in the first half that a lot more work than was anticipated was needed to get the squad physically fit and gelling together.
The first half showed a battling and gutsy performance and although West Harnahm put several passed us, a goal from Oliver Smith kept the CK belief alive with a well taken shot from outside the box. No more than he deserved for his overall performance throughout the game.
With the final score 10-1 and not the best start for a new team, next week we pick up and go again.
