MATCH REPORTS
04 March 2017: CK Andover 1-1 Ludgershall(Jack)
We produced a battling performance today and for large spells were down to 6.... in what was an even contest with a hint of controversy!
We took the lead through a gaol kick from Jack which bounced and looped in, unfortunately as is the theme recently we were unable to hold on and with a few minutes to go a poor pass led to their equaliser.
Again as in recent matches we had chances, tom testing the keeper as did Zac, which ironically he made some good saves but let in the easier one!
Jack also produced a fine save earlier.
All in all it was a good draw and overall we have to be happy with that.
18 February 2017: CK Andover 1-2 Upper Clatford (friendly) (tom)
A well fought friendly game which was decided by a freak goal which hit a divet and went the opposite direction!
Tom had taken a well deserved equaliser in between the two unfortunate goals against us.
We had more chances but failed to capitalise for what would have been a deserved draw.
11 February 2017: Tidworth 2-1 CK Andover (Tom)
A game totally dominated by CK, which unfortunately was settled by a few defensive mistakes. Tried as we might, we just couldn't get the equaliser in the second half.... chances fell mostly to Tom who had earlier put us ahead with a well taken free kick after Callum provided a useful dummy. One brilliant move a cross by Zac was headered powerfully at goal by tom but the keeper somehow kept it out!
It was one way traffic, but we just couldn't get the goal!
The effort in the second half by all the team cannot be questioned, we just need to cut down on earlier errors which ultimately undo us.
04 February 2017: Tidworth 1-1 CK Andover (Callum)
A good encounter from both sides today, however CK will rue some missed chances
which on another day we would've taken.
Some really good passing football today, probably the best we've been all season, a wonderful cross field pass from tom found Callum in space to fire home in the corner.
Callum then had another opportunity in the second half from two yards out which unfortunately went wide. Zac linked up well with tom and Charlie again is ever improving in defence.
However with 6/7 mins to go Tidworth levelled after hesitation in our box.
All in all it was a competitive game and honours even.
21 January 2017: Upper Clatford 2-0 CK Andover
Very hard frosty pitch which was hard to play on, however CK batted
well and for spells had some good moments. Tom had some half chances and Zac
got in some good positions however we just couldn't find the net or connect
with our shots. Two lapses in concentration cost us mid way through
the second half through not clearing our lines.
The game was a 0-0 all over but unfortunately we couldn't hold out.
Good touches by Tom, Zac, - Hugh and Kaan were strong and Jack
made some good saves. Charlie came more into it and won key tackles.
17 December 2016: CK Andover 4-1 Ludgershall Sports (Tom(3),Zac)
What a perfect way to sign off before Christmas.
A determined and good passing display from CK today.
A full strength squad was too much for Ludgershall with a hat-trick coming from Thomas through brilliant unselfish play from Zac who also got a goal.
Thomas lashed home from a Zac pass early on. Ludgershall levelled at 1-1 through a penalty after a pull on the shirt in the box. Thomas swivelled well to shoot and score on the turn from another Zac pass. Zac then went on to score a good solo effort before Thomas smashed home after good work by hamish. It was good to see Hugh back who came on and did well, and outstanding play in defence and midfield by Kaan, passing some brilliant balls. Jack also in goal was in superb form and looked rock solid and assured. Great result boys, well done!
