MATCH REPORTS
03 December 2011: CUP Friendly CK vs Bishops Waltham Dynamos
Football how it should be played saw CKs regular Development line up seal a confident victory, running out 10 nil winners. Harvey Wake shrugged off a knock in the face from the first game to fire home a hattrick, after some superb pressing runs forward. Alfie Waters was rampant today netting 5, even claiming a left foot finish.............yet to be confirmed!! Ben Hewlett grabbed a goal, blazing in from close range and Justin Fryatt fired home late in the second half. Sam McCreedy continued to make some strong tackles, Lucy Ladd and Harvey McLean looked faultless at the back. Stand in keepers Kial Mumford and Joe Brown bothe kept clean sheets in their respective halves, Joe making several good saves. Well done guys!!
26 November 2011: Tidworth Typhoons vs CK
A very solid performance from the team today.Typhoons defended excellently for most of the first half, some excellent saves from their goalkeeper, notably keeping out shots from Joe Brown and Kial Mumford. It took CK sometime to take the lead, Joe Brown prodding home from close range after a sustained CK attack. Jamie Ross was playing some excellent football from right midfield and Harvey Wake and Justin Fryatt were seldom troubled at the back. In the second half, CK made the most of their possession, Kial Mumford tapped in a second, deservedly after some great skills and all round play out wide on the left. A first this season as CK took a three nil lead, Kial Mumford floating in the corner for Jamie Ross to head home into the right hand corner, a great goal!!. Kial Mumford topped off his game with his second goal after following in on a another CK attack on goal. A deserved Man of the Match for Kial, but he was run close by a superb performance from Jamie Ross, confident on the ball and committed throughout the game. Harvey McLean earned himself another clean sheet, saving when it really mattered.
26 November 2011: Tidworth Typhoons vs CK (Development League)
With a few regulars away, CK fielded a different formation, Joe Brown playing at left back early on, Kial Mumford filling in in goal and Sam McCreedy starting out wide on the left. A close game throughout, but tough tackling and great effort from Sam McCreedy and Jake Bradbury allowed CK to push forward midway through the first half, Ben Hewlett finding space and time in the box to drill the ball home with his left foot, no hesitation......great strike Ben! Jamie Ross continued his from from the first game, lots of possession and a number of goalscoring chances. His moment finally came midway through the second half, picking up the ball from a throw in around the half way line, striding forward at pace, passing two defenders and firing in with a powerful shot to the keepers left. Sam McCreedy was excellent throughout the game, tackling when needed and playing some simple but solid football, well done to Man of the Match Sam!
20 November 2011: Cup News!
News Flash.............CK at home to Bishops Waltham in the Cup, 3rd December 2011. If it resembles the recent away match between the teams in the League, it should be an exciting and close game.
19 November 2011: CK vs Braishfield
Phew!! What a terrific game of football! Both teams playing excellent football, emphasis on passing but with some real commitment and effort. CK settled into a nice tempo early on but a very well organised Braishfield took a two goal lead. Joe Brown pulled one back, battling with a Braishfield defender at pace in the box and slipping the ball into the right hand corner of the net. 2-1 at HT. CK might have felt a bit hard done to be down at the break and the boys pressed hard in the second half. Kial Mumford produced a magic finish as the Braishfield keeper was caught off his line as he cleared. Kial struck a magnificent shot, looping over the retreating keeper and finding the top left hand corner of the net. Well done Kial. Skipper Kai Henderson rallied the boys to push for the win but a lapse of concentration from CK allowed Braishfield to take the lead 3-2. CK battled on, some excellent passing and attacking play allowed Joe Brown to shoot home from close range.......3-3!! Neither team settled for the draw and despite several chances to win the game Braishfield once again had the upper hand and scored the all important winner, great stuff from both sets of boys.
19 November 2011: CK vs Braisfield (Development League)
A brief report.............as I wasn't there for the game! A solid CK performance, a clean sheet and a a goal apiece for Alfie Waters and Skipper Ben Cousins were the highlights. Reports that Lucy Ladd also had an excellent game. This team is deservedly climbing the table. Well done!!
