CK ANDOVER - Under 11s 2013/2014
CK U11s, runners up in the 2012/13 Testway Youth Football League U10s Division 1, will again play their football on Saturday mornings. Homes fixtures are played at Barrow Hill, Goodworth Clatford. CK U11s now have a space available in the squad, contact Steve or Club Secretary if interested.

05 October 2013: Braishfield Bees 1-4 CK
A solid all round performance today. Joe Brown and KIal Mumofrd getting 2 goals each after excellent midfield football from Jamie Ross, Alfie Waters and Kai Henderson. The excellent Lee Henderson would have had a clean sheet had it not been for a freaky Braishfield goal. Good stuff, nice flowing football in the second half.
Man of the Match Harvey Wake was outstanding today, pushing forward from the back and causing Bees some real problems.
28 September 2013: CK 2-2 Bishops Waltham Dynamos
CK made hard work of things today, some casual defending in the first half allowing Dynamos to take a two goal lead early on. Kai Henderson had another first class performance in midfield, linking well with Kial Mumford and Joe Brown up front. CK finally found some rhythm in the last ten minutes of the first half and Joe Brown found himself on the end of a nice move to make it 2-1. Stand in keeper Justinho was excellent but made way for Ruben in the second half and Lucy Ladd once again was consistent as she took up the left midfield position. After a less than spectacular start to the second half, further changes were made and Jamie Ross made it a four man midfield, CK switching to just two at the back.
A samll period of good pressure followed and CK were awarded a free kick 5m from the edge of the box. Kial Mumford showing again this season that he can score some spectacular goals, the ball dipping under the cross bar to make it 2-2. Either side could have won the game with further chances, but CK just weren't good enough today to find that elusive winner. Man of the Match, Justinho, a great spell in goal and some excellent passing in the second half.
21 September 2013: Upper Clatford 2-1 CK
A disappointing result against a predictably strong and determined Clatford. CK started brightly, seldom troubled in the first twenty minutes with Joe Brown bundling in the first goal. A scrappy goal but a deserved lead given that Jamie Ross and Kai Henderson had produced some good midfield play. Lee Nicholson again had a strong first half, saving well on several occasions and Kial Mumford went close to giving CK a 2 nil lead, striking the cross bar.
The second half saw Clatford come out fighting and our boys were found wanting. We failed to close down properly, marked poorly and struggled to settle into our passing game. Several mistakes cost us the game, an unnecessary free kick bouncing through the keepers legs and an unnecessary corner leading to a deflection off our own defender, 2-1 Clatford......game over.
We have much to be pleased about in our U11s squad and will compete well in the League. But we must learn to dig in as a team and not give up so easily against strong teams. Our football was better, but our desire to win wasnt quite there today. Ruben Hunt put in another good dsiplay today, as did Harvey Mclean and Alfie Waters in the first half. Heads up, Dynamos at home next week.
14 September 2013: CK 7 - 0 Tidworth Titans
CK took some time to settle in our first League match. In the first 15-20 minutes, Titans were much the superior side, dominating possession, quicker to the ball and playing a better passing game. CK however made the most of their openings, Joe Brown getting the first goal after a good solo run and neat finish. GK Lee Nicholson had been busy on several occasions before Kai Henderson struck from the edge of the box, to make it 2-0, adding a third after some neat team play before the break. Titans must have been disappointed to trail 3-0 at the break, much of CKs success against the run of play.
Second half saw a much more settled CK, Kial Mumford and Joe Brown working well together particularly with soem great service from Jamie Ross and Kai Henderson. Lucy Ladd settled well at right midfield after coming on for Alfie Waters who ran his socks off in the first half. Harvey Mclean and Harvey Wake, later joined by Justinho looked composed at the back, throughout the second half. Joe Browns second came from a stunning long range strike, top left hand corner and secured his hatrick in an odd mix up where Titans simply stopped playing leaving Joe to tap in from a couple of meters (we'll ignore him firing over from 2 yards in the first half!!). Ruben Hunt topped off a superb display with a super strike from outside the box, first goal for the club. Kial Mumford made it 7-0 driving in a free kick from a huge distance, giving the goalkeeper no chance. Not our best football but a great start, well done. Next up, Clatford away.....see you there.
13 September 2013: Here we go, game on!!
Ok, first fixture organised, referee booked, kit all washed, id cards sorted, matchball pumped up and CK webpage updated!. Kick off 9am at home Saturday 14th September vs Tidworth Titans. Always a competitive and tough match when Titans visit. See you there, good luck boys, last Weds was our benchmark!
11 September 2013: Pre Season Friendly CK U11s vs CK U12s
The boys lined up for the second time to play CU12s at Barrow HIll on Wednesday evening. The previous week had seen the boys soundly beaten 4-0 by the same team, and whilst playing some confident football, never achieved much in front of goal and were punished defensively as the boys adjusted to the pitch size.
This fixture saw a different display. CK U11s linked together well, particularly Kial Mumford and Joe Brown up front who benefitted from some fine midfield performances from Alfie Waters, Jamie Ross, captain Kai Henderson and Lucy Ladd. Ruben Hunt, Harvey Mclean, Justin Fryatt and Harvey Wake all performed well in defence. Lee Nicholson made 3 outstanding saves during the match and CK notched up an impressive win. Th e performance was excellent on all fronts, well done guys.
