26 September 2015: CK vs Alderbury
The first game of the new tournament system saw the under 11's take on new comers to the Testway League Alderbury FC.
This was only the second time CK have played on the 'big' pitch and we started off kicking down hill trying to use the slope to our advantage.
Sadly the advantage didn't last long and Alderbury took an early lead with some impressive passing and movement on and off the ball. This was clearly a well drilled team who had been together for a long time. By half time we were 0-8 down and feeling the strain of playing against one of the strongest teams we have ever come up against.
The half time team talk saw a few changes in positions but the spirit was still good in most of the team. A couple asked to be rested at the start of the second half and early on it was clear that a few had switched off but we did not stop running for the whole game.
We ended with a disappointing score line of 0-20. But at least we have got this team out of the way for now.
