25 January 2011: CK POINTS DEDUCTED
As you will all notice from the TWYFL website we have now had the points deducted where we unknowingly fielded an overage player. I know as a squad we feel hard done by the fact that we have lost all those hard earned points through no fault of our own but it does seem the only way forward so that we can draw a line under the whole situation.

As discussed at the last training session we as a squad must now move on and try and gain as many points as we can from the remaining games. You have all given a 100% this season and I know you will continue to do so.

Please see below the comments from the TWYFL committee regarding the incident.

We as a Committee would like to reiterate a number of matters from this:-

1) CK were completely innocent in this matter in the opinion of the Committee. There was no intention whatsoever on their part to play an "overage" player.

2) The onus unfortunately lies with the Club to ensure that all of their players are of the right age to play in their teams and although the league does not insist on "Birth Certificates" there is no reason why a Club does not. That would stop this happening.

We thank CK for the way they have handled this issue that without their full support could have made the situation worse. The team affected here have to pick up the pieces and continue the season which is going to be difficult and we as a League wish them well. We encourage all teams in the League to be diligent in the signing on of players going forward.

15 January 2011: CK ANDOVER 1 Andover New Street 5
A bad day at the office for CK as they were well beaten. When CK got the ball on the floor they played some attractive passing football but sadly they never had enough poccession in the game to make this count. New Street were quicker on to the ball for most of the match winning most first and second balls. CK scored a last gasp consolation when good pressure from Max Mcgrath finished off a well taken corner from James Broadbent. Another massive positive in the match was the performance of player of the match Liam Ryan in defence. Hurling himself into challenge after challenge and putting in 100% effort that maybe was lacking in other areas of the pitch. However CK will work hard in training to put this area of the game right and come back stronger in the next match.

15 January 2011: NEW YEARS DRINK FOR PARENTS
Venue and time to be confirmed. The club are planning to hold a New Years drink celebration for parents. A great chance to meet committee members and other team's parents and bring the club together. I hope we as a team can support the evening and make it a success. CANCELLED - NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

08 January 2011: CK ANDOVER 3 Fordingbridge Town 4
Trailing at half time 3-0 and then conceding early in the second half to trail by 4 goals, you could have forgiven CK for throwing in the towel but they produced an inspired fightback and deserved to get a point for their efforts. Goals from Nial Kane, Tom Haynes, and Max Mcgrath produced a gallant fightback. Player of the Match went to Kyle Fancy for a solid defensive display. The squad need to work on winning the first and second balls but can be proud of their excellent second half display.

20 November 2010: LEAGUE MATCH Wolversdene 3 CK ANDOVER 3
Many thanks to Wolversdene for organising the match to be played under the floodlights at Whitchurch. A great experience for them all, and it led to an exciting end to end match. CK took control in the first half and played some lovely football. A massive improvement from last week and thanks to excellent goals from Adam Sanders 2, and George Daykin CK found themselves in a comfortable 3-0 lead. CK then fell to their old enemy of the ball over the top and Wolves capatilized to grab 2 goals back at half time. The second half saw chances for both teams but it was Wolves who grabbed the equaliser. CK even then had three one on ones with the keeper but could not make them count, and so the match ended a draw. A fair result from an exciting match. Player of the match went to Charlie Hampton who was outstanding in the CK midfield.

13 November 2010: HAMPSHIRE CUP 3RD ROUND Grayshott youth 3 CK ANDOVER 2
I'm not sure if it was the long away journey or late nights or a combintation of the both that led to a CK display that was way below what the squad are capable of. The firt half showed lack of skill and effort and CK found themselves trailing 2-0 through soft goals. It could have been worse if had not been for an outstanding double save from Edward Farrow. After being given a severe dressing down at halftime at least CK put up more of a fight in the second half, but just as CK were heaping constant pressure on their opponents another lack of concentration and poor marking led to Grayshott increasing their lead. Then came the two highlights of a best forgotten match for CK. First player of the match Matt Blake fired home an excellent free kick and then Niall Kane shot an unstoppable 30 yard shot to give CK some hope. For all their pressure CK couldn't find the equaliser and Grayshott deservedly went through to the next round. Hopefully CK will learn from this performance.
