CK ANDOVER - Under 12s 2013/2014
MATCH REPORTS
05 April 2014: Waltham Wolves 3 CK Andover 3
CK were out to revenge last week's defeat at home to Waltham Wolves with an early start at Knowle.
CK looked nervous on the ball from the start and soon found themselves behind to an early Wolves goal.
A few good Andover shots tested the opposition keeper but lack of communication and sloppy back passes saw CK 3 goals down at the interval.
Waltham believed they had the game for the taking but CK had other ideas and applied pressure right from the restart.
The first CK goal came from a break through the center by Layton Tulk placing the ball nicely beyond the keeper's reach. Layton added a second from a corner by Ben Bushell, stretching to find the net as the ball passed through a line of defenders.
With 5 minutes to go Layton got his hatrick to earn CK a deserved point for some outstanding second half pressure.
MotM and captain's armband for next week went to Layton Tulk
29 March 2014: CK Andover 0 Waltham Wolves 2
Hoping to avoid a third defeat in a row CK took on Waltham Wolves for the first time at Barrow Hill.
The Wolves enjoyed the majority of the play from the kick off and took the lead after 10 mins with a well worked through ball for a one on one with the keeper.
CK were playing a high defensive line and caught Waltham out with a number of off-side decisions but failed to find a way through the visitors defense themselves.
Waltham added another goal in the second half and ran out convincing winners to a sleepy looking CK side.
22 March 2014: Clarendon 3 CK Andover 1
CK were hoping to avenge a heavy home defeat at the hands of Clarendon.
.......but started the game nervously and went behind to an easy tap in following a defensive mistake.
CK had a few breaks down the right side but could not find the back of the net.
Heads were down as the visitors went into the break two down.
The second half was more of the same and CK never really looked like settling into the game despite a goal from Layton Tulk.
Clarendon finished the game with 3 goals and looked convincing winners.
15 March 2014: Braishfield Bees 4 CK Andover 1
CK were on the back foot right from the whistle and some poor defending led to two easy goals.
A high defensive line caught the home side off side on a number of occasions but could not stop them adding a third before half time.
CK settled down in the second half and pulled a goal back through a great strike from Layton Tulk.
However CK never looked like winning and the Bees put the game beyond doubt with a fourth goal 10 minutes from the end.
08 March 2014: Fordingbridge Town 3 vs CK Andover 4
An early start on a warm March morning as CK took on Fordingbridge.
The visitors took an early lead through a fabulous shot from defender Owen Crowe. Harvey Henley added a second and a well taken free kick from Layton Tulk saw CK take a commanding lead early in the game.
A fourth was added by Layton just before half time and CK seemed to be coasting.
The second half was a different game and the home side took advantage in some weakness in the CK defense.
Fordingbridge pulled back three goals including two great headers from set pieces.
CK managed to hang on to their lead to earn three needed points.
01 March 2014: CK Andover 2 vs West Harnham 0
CK were eager to get a game after a long break due to sever weather and took a very early lead in the game through a chip from Harvey Henley.
CK held their back line and found Harnham off side on a number of occasions.
The game flowed end to end but neither side could add a goal before the half time whistle.
The second half was a mirror of the first and CK, playing downhill, added an early goal through a header by Ben Bushell.
A good result for CK after a long stretch without a game.
