CK ANDOVER - Under 10s 2014/2015
MATCH REPORTS
31 January 2015: CK Andover Under 10's Season so far
A very mixed season for the under 10's this year. We had a few disruptions early on and a few squad changes but now we have a great team who are a joy to work with. Below is a brief account of our season so far:
CK 1 - 9 Fordingbridge, Not a lot to say about this game the score speaks for its self.
CK 2 - 3 MFC Popley, a very close game CK deserved to win but a few mistakes allowed Popley to clinch victory.
CK 0 - 8 New Street, We always struggle against New Street as the team go into the game thinking we will lose.
CK 4 - 1 Shooters, Our first win of the season and some great football played, we showed in this game what we are capable of.
CK 1 - 6 Simply Soccer, The score really does not do our team justice, we worked hard but could not get the goals we needed.
Whitchurch 3 - 3 CK, This game was played in very wet conditions but CK stuck at it and although conceded a couple of lucky goals pushed hard to end and scored the equaliser with only minutes left to go, given another 2 minutes I think we would have won.
Worthy's 4 - 2 CK, We were limited on team members for this game but everyone worked hard. A good set piece from a corner gave us our first goal but we could not hold on.
CK 1 - 3 Upper Clatford, An amazing effort put in but again we could not convert this into goals. The game was much tighter than the score line suggests.
Shooters 0 - 9 CK, A dominant performance with some outstanding football shown by the team. I predicted early on in the season if we managed to put in to practice what I had seen in training we would beat a team by over 7 goals. This game was one of my proudest moments as a manager.
New Street 9 - 0 CK, again we went in expecting to lose and didn't disappoint. The team know they did not perform at this game.
Fordingbridge 3 - 0 CK, Although a loss this game shows how far the team has come since the first game. We looked organised and disciplined. At times we were simply outplayed by a stronger team.
We have also taken part in 2 tournaments, The first down at Fordingbridge where we finished 3rd in our group. A good team effort for the whole day.
The second was the Champions League tournament over 2 days. While we failed to qualify for the cup competition we are now in the next stage aiming to get through to the Plate Final.
