09 October 2010: HAMPSHIRE CUP 2ND ROUND Rushmoor Saints 3 CK ANDOVER 5
CK progressed through to the 3rd round with an excellent squad performance. Although playing the better football throughout CK found themselves trailing 2-0. Then well taken goals from Jord Mumford and Adam Sanders levelled the scores. Rushmoor then beat the CK offside again to lead only for Adam Sanders derservedly to level for CK again. CK kept the pressure on in the second half and had a number of chances before Charlie Hampton and James Broadbent both finished well to send CK through and the CK supporters cheering. Player of the match went to keeper Edward Farrow for a performance full of confidence, quality and excellent handling. Apologies to the players who didn't play for long today but this really was a squad victory ! Well done everyone !
02 October 2010: LEAGUE MATCH CK ANDOVER 5 Wolversedene 3
CK continued their winning form with an impressive victory and showing again that their passing football really is a joy to watch. Some excellent passing football resulted in a 3-0 lead at half time with Sam Bott, Matt Lovering, and Charlie Hampton providing some great finishing. With Jord Mumford and Alfie Horlock then adding to the goals it was a comfortable win for CK. A special mention to the CK defence and midfield who kept the Wolversedene goals to three long range efforts from free kicks all game. One which keeper Edward Farrow saved superbly only to watch the rebound go in. Player of the match went to Femi Oduneye who had a solid match in the left of defence producing some great tackles throughout.
25 September 2010: LEAGUE MATCH CK ANDOVER 4 Itchen Bulldogs 1
CK recorded their first win of the season with a comprehensive victory against a spirited Itchen team. Leading through goals from, a cool finish ending an excellent move, from Matt Lovering, and an excellent side foot volley from Jord Mumford CK then suffered a lapse in concentration to allow Itchen to pull back to 2-1 at half time. The second half saw CK with continued pressure but not putting away the many chances that came their way. Finally a fine solo run and finish by Adam Sanders and a brave header from Alfie Horlock rewarded CK for their hard work. Player of the match went to Matt Blake, who at left back, showed excellent composure and was solid throught the match.
20 September 2010: LEAGUE CUP DRAW - AT HOME TO LUDGERSHALL SPORTS !
The league cup draw see's us with a home tie against 1st division Ludgershall Sports. Match to be played Saturday 6th Nov. A great chance for a cup upset !!!
18 September 2010: LEAGUE MATCH Sarum Youth 8 CK ANDOVER 3
CK couldn't find the impressive first half performance in a match of two halves again. Against a strong Sarum team CK found themselves trailing 3 times but each time came back superbly with goals from Jord Mumford, James Broadbent, and an excellent passing move slotted home by Adam Sanders to finish the half level at 3-3. CK started well in the second half but then some lapses in concentration throughout the team enabled Sarum to take control. To their credit CK never gave up and had some chances in the final minutes to get the scoreline to reflect how even the teams actually were. Player of the match went to Niall Kane for a hard working display in midfield, especially in the first half.
11 September 2010: LEAGUE MATCH Andover New Street 2 CK ANDOVER 2
A great start to the season for the new look under 13's in a tough opening match. CK took a while to gel and found themselves under pressure in the first half doing well to keep New Street down to the one goal advantage. Trailing at half time CK then turned the match around with a performance to be proud of with Jord Mumford slotting home the equaliser with a great finish. Apart from one lapse in concentration when New Street re took the lead, CK controlled the match winning most tackles and pouncing on all the second balls. A great passing move resulted in James Broadbent clipping the New Street post. All their efforts were finally rewarded when Jord Mumford hit his second with a cool left foot finish after great work from Adam Sanders and Charlie Hampton, five minutes from time. The goal met with a huge cheer from the CK sideline ! Special mention to Sam Bott for a workman like midfield display and player of the match Tom Haynes for a captains performance in the CK defence. Well done to all the squad.
