03 March 2012: CK vs Barton Stacey
CK played with 2 forward players for the whole game, possibly for only the second time this season and to great effect. Joe Brown and Kial Mumford proved too much of a handful up front for a strong Barton Stacey team. The whole team worked their socks off in the first half, closing down when needed and dominating the half in terms of possession. Some wonderful passing, often set up by terrific football from Kai Henderson and Jamie Ross, allowed Joe Brown to slot home 2 before the break. The second half saw Barton Stacey step up a gear but Harry Baker and Harvey Wake looked solid and confident at the back, keeper Harvey Mcleen seldom troubled. This game showed how far the boys have improved since the start of the season. Work rate, on and off the ball was excellent and this result saw the boys secure 4th place in the Red Division. Well done boys. Kai Henderson was awesome today and took home the Man of the Match award, for the second week running. Cup semi final 17th March, at home to Worthys.

03 March 2012: CK vs Barton Stacey (Development Game)
End to end stuff in the final League Development game of the season. Big Sam Mcreedy stepping up for his first half in goal this season. Ben Cousins put in a good shift today, going close in the first half. CK moved the ball around well and created some good opportunities. Jake Bradbury must have had 3 shredded wheat this morning, putting in a good display and striking twice in the first half. Two terrific shots after neat build up play involving Justin Fryatt and Ben Cousins. Half time saw the sides level. Alfie Waters put the gloves on for his stint in goal and Ben Hewlett looked impressive in midfield. Lucy Ladd unleashed a terrific shot in the second half and was unlucky to score. Man of the Match Justin Fryatt winning the game for CK with a belter of a winner. Long range, top corner.......3-2 CK. A great win, well done guys.

18 February 2012: Broughton vs CK (SUPPLEMENTARY CUP)
Steady football from CK after a 3 week break due to the weather. CK started slowly but made several chances in a close first half. Kial Mumford having the best of the chances but rushing his shot saw him fire wide from inside the box. CK settled well midway through the first half but conceded several free kicks giving encouragement to a well organised Broughton team. CK were unlucky to concede a penalty in the first half, Harvey Mcleen standing tall and big between the sticks as the Broughton player fired over the cross bar. Jamie Ross earned himself Man of the Match for a near faultless display at the back, Harvey Wake also playing very well. CK stepped up a gear midway through the second half after Broughton had a good run of possession. A moment of magic was needed, step forward Joe Brown. Picking up the ball outside the box on the left, Joe went past several players as he came across the box, found half a yard and shot high into the top right corner, 1 nil CK. CK pushed on but Broughton never gave up and were unlucky to see Kial Mumfords long range shot find the back of the net via a Brought deflection. Second round here we come after a 2 nil victory.

18 February 2012: Broughton vs CK (Development Game)
Ben Hewlett led the boys out in the second of the mornings games and played some excellent football from central midfield. Kai Henderson stood up well and made several impressive saves in goal and CK looked much the better team for most of the game. Jamie Ross found the net with a clean finish after hard work and tireless running up front. Broughton equalised shortly after and the teams went in level at half time. Justin Fryatt and Harry Baker looked very assured at the back but Ben Cousins was having a terrific game, tackling with real purpose, passing really well and even finding time for a shot on goal. Harvey Wake took to the pitch in the second half and scored within seconds after a fine individual run and capping it off with a superb finish. CK deservedly finished the game 2-1 winners. 2 games, 2 wins........havent said that for a while....well done guys.

03 December 2011: CUP!!! CK vs Bishops Waltham Dynamos
Poor defensive errors were the difference between these two teams in what was another close fought game against Dynamos. Failing to clear a loose ball in the box and allowing two attackers to be 5 yds goal side of our backline allowed Dynamos to take a first half 2 goal lead. Dynamos were very organised but CK found several chances to score. Kial Mumford firing over the crossbar from close range and Joe Brown finding a yard of space twice in the box, only to shoot wide of the mark. Kai Henderson impressed in central midfield with excellent passing moves between him, Kial and Jamie Ross, only to fall short with the final ball. You know its not your day when we fire 4 consecutive corners into the side netting!!!
No shortage of effort, but CK lacked real movement in the second half. The boys either failing to release the ball early enough or playing some careless first time passes, both resulting in losing possession more often than not. There were still some flashes of that CK passing game to lift the spirits for the next League game. Heads up boys!
